Seeing the current hospital site in the heart of downtown Orillia re-purposed is a top priority.

While most of the current site requires demolition, the community tower has great potential to serve Orillians and beyond. Some options that are being considered include repurposing the building as a long-term care home or transitional bed facility. An option of affordable seniors housing on the current hospital site is also being explored.

The Community Tower, and the remainder of the existing infrastructure will be required for at least the next decade or more while planning, approvals, and construction of a new facility take place.
